Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 13: As part of its initiative to provide practical industry exposure, Government Polytechnic Jammu organized a one-day industrial visit for 35 students from various departments to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) office in Bari Brahmana, Jammu. The visit aimed to familiarize students with material testing processes and the critical role of standardization in ensuring product quality, safety, and reliability. The students were briefed by BIS officials on the organization's standards, certifications, and quality assurance protocols. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of Government Polytechnic, emphasized the importance of industrial visits in bridging theoretical learning with practical insights. The visit was coordinated by Yogesh Raina, BIS Coordinator, and Manmohan Singh from the Automobile Engineering Department. The success of the event was supported by Tania Sharma, Sanjay, and Karan Rana from BIS, who provided valuable insights and hospitality to the students. |
