Police arrest notorious bike lifter

SAMBA, Nov 14: Police has arrested a notorious bike lifter in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered seven stolen two wheelers from his possession.
On 04-11-2024, a written report was lodged at Police Station Bari Brahmana by one Asif Choudhary R/o Sarore Adda Meen Sarkar Bari Brahmana regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing registration No. JK21K-2989 from Sarore Adda Bari Brahmana when he went to his sister house. Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 150/2024 U/S 303(2) BNS was registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police arrested the accused namely Murad Ali @Muradu S/o Tegh Ali R/o Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana, who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. On his disclosure, the stolen bike has been recovered from his possession.
Further on thorough interrogation, 2 more stolen two wheelers have been recovered from the possession of said accused in two different theft cases registered at PS Bari Brahmana which includes Scooty bearing registration No.JK21E-4655 in Case FIR No. 142/2024 U/S 303(2) BNS and Motorcycle bearing registration No. JK21H-6346 in Case FIR No. 72/2024 U/S 454/380 IPC.
Besides this, 4 other two wheelers were also recovered and seized under section 106 BNSS which includes Motorcycle Passion No. JK02AS-4593, Scooty No. JK02BN-6071, Motorcycle No. JK21H-7553 and Motorcycle Splendour Chasis No.MBLHAW098K4B05790.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
