DC Ganderbal reviews progress under CAPEX Budget 2024-25

GANDERBAL, Nov 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Thursday held an extensive review meeting, here to evaluate the progress of various projects under the District Capex Budget for the financial year 2024-25.
The review focused on assessing both the physical and financial status of district projects.
The DC emphasized the importance of timely completion for optimal fund utilization and accelerated district development.
Detailed reports on the funds released and expenditures incurred across multiple sectors, including Roads and Buildings, Education, Youth Services and Sports, Health, and Jal Shakti, were presented and analyzed.
The Chief Planning Officer provided updates on ongoing and completed projects. Among the 1635 new works in the district, 1619 have been already accorded for execution. 878 works are alloted and around 223 works have been started on ground.
Similarly, out of 79 ongoing works, 22 stand already completed during current financial year and 57 are in progress.
The DC directed officials to expedite the submission of any outstanding estimates to ensure comprehensive progress tracking.
He stressed the importance of strict adherence to timelines and quality standards, urging officers to accelerate ongoing projects while maintaining close interdepartmental coordination. He emphasized that efficient project implementation is essential to delivering benefits to the residents of Ganderbal.
With winter approaching, the DC instructed all Junior Engineers (JEs) to submit detailed work plans, prioritizing project completion in higher-altitude areas. Regular updates and swift resolution of challenges were encouraged to avoid delays.
The DC also underscored the need to meet the developmental targets for FY 2024-25 within the stipulated timeframe and maximize expenditure realization to enhance district-wide development outcomes.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers, Chief Panchayat Officer, EO Municipality, Block Development Officers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Junior Engineers, Technical Assistants, and other relevant officials.
