GDC Neeli Nallah organizes Scholarship Awareness Camp | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: Gdc Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized Awareness Generation Camp regarding the scholarship and other allied schemes of Social Welfare Department Under the able guidance of Dr. (Prof.) Seema Arora, Principal of the college. The speakers of the Event were Tilak Raj, Pooja Jamwal and Bir Singh from Social Welfare Department. Tilak Raj explained Different types of scholarship schemes to create awareness with large no.of students. It is envisaged to provide 5000 fresh scholarships every year. Social Welfare Department has been offering special fee structure for the students of J&K thus helping both parents and students. He further mentioned that the Social Welfare Department also provides scholarships to meritorious students and accepts applications through AICTE- PMSSS, AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme, AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme and various other scholarships schemes. The Department takes pride in sharing that till date lakhs of students from J&K have taken admission in various courses of the college through scholarships. The Next Speaker Pooja Jamwal gave details about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojna and explained Different things to motivate Girl students to go ahead with the help of society and prove themselves as a respectable citizen of Speaker. The main Motive of her speech was to ensure survival, Protection and Educate the Girl Child.Team from Social Welfare Department also facilitates Girl Meritorious Students and distribute the Wrist Watches to motivated them for doing hardwork in their future endeavors. Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Convenor of the programme presented formal Vote of Thanks. Dr. Mubarak Mahir and Dr. Akhter Hussain were the members of organizing Committee. Dr.Nazir, Dr. Shameem, Miss Neha, Dr. Zahoor, Dr. Muntazir and Rajeshwar Jamwal were also present. |
