BISHNAH, Nov 18: Government Degree College (GDC), Bishnah, in collaboration with the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), hosted a special event focusing on career opportunities, empowering education, and promoting women's hygiene awareness.
The event featured a significant gesture as Dr. Preeti Kashyap, Managing Director of JMD Herbal Extractions and recipient of the Best Women Entrepreneur Award (J&K, 2019), presented a laptop to Sunil Kumar, a talented student with a locomotor disability. Dr. Kashyap also delivered a lecture on entrepreneurship and women's hygiene, addressing menstrual health and personal well-being. Her session aimed to inspire students and foster health-conscious practices. Principal Dr. Shallu Samyal highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bridging education and community welfare. "Dr. Kashyap's generosity and expertise remind us of the transformative power of education and awareness," she said.
The event was coordinated by faculty members Dr. Kusum, Prof. Shrotika Rajput, and Dr. Geeta Lakhotra, with active participation from students, faculty, and guests. This initiative reaffirmed GDC Bishnah's commitment to empowering students and creating an informed and inclusive community. |
