Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 21: In a major step towards enhancing the infrastructure in Jammu North, Shri Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North and Former Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, today laid the foundation stones for two significant development projects in Ward No. 38, Janipura. These projects, which address long-pending demands from residents, are focused on the construction of lanes and drains at Sultanpura and Nasseb Nagar (?35.10 lakh) and Basant Nagar (?60 lakh). Speaking at the event, Shri Sham Lal Sharma reiterated his unwavering commitment to the region's development. "The projects being launched today have been a long-standing demand of the people in these areas. I am dedicated to improving the infrastructure and quality of life for the residents of Jammu North," he said. Sharma also praised India's overall progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the substantial advancements in infrastructure and governance, which are paving the way for a brighter future for the country. The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by a host of local residents, community leaders, BJP workers, and officials, including Mandal President of BJP Janipur Raveesh Mengi, Ex-Councillor of Ward No. 38 Surinder Sharma, Xen JMC Nawaz Banday, AEE JMC Hilal Wani, JE JMC Ranjan Sharma, and Mandal General Secretary Sanjay Bhat.
