KATHUA, Nov 25: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Kathua celebrated Communal Harmony Week w.e.f 19thto 25th November, 2024 with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to fostering a sense of oneness in diversity and to promote peace, tolerance and unity among people of different religions, culture and backgrounds.
The one-week programme was conducted under the dynamic guidance of worthy Principal of the college Prof. Seema Mir and supervised by NSS programme officers Dr. Kulbir Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar and Dr. Pratima Sangra.
The primary objectives of the week-long celebrations were to spread awareness about the importance of communal harmony, to encourage inter-faith dialogue and understanding, to highlight the strength of unity amidst diversity in our society and to raise significant funds to support victims of communal violence.
