Early Times Report MAJALTA, Nov 26: Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta celebrated Constitution Day on November 26, 2024, with active participation from the principal, faculty, and students. The event aimed to honor the adoption of the Indian Constitution and promote its values. The program began with a pledge ceremony where attendees reaffirmed their commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution. Prof. Peerzada Amir delivered an insightful lecture on the historical significance and key features of the Constitution, adopted on November 26, 1949. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Shalini Sharma highlighted the pivotal role of the Constitution in shaping modern India, paying tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for his visionary leadership. She emphasized its inclusive spirit, detailing its importance in protecting citizen rights and fostering unity. Prof. Chander Mohan, Head of the English Department, encouraged students to integrate constitutional values into their lives. Faculty members, including Prof. Sheeraz Ahmad Sofi, Prof. Kamal Jeet Choudhary, Prof. Irshad Ahmad Reshi, and others, graced the occasion.
