Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 27: In a significant step to enhance the Academia-Industry interface in Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, and TATA STEEL Limited (TSL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed by Mr. Hemant Bhargava, Chief Sales Manager (North), TSL, and Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU. The MoU aims to foster collaboration in fields such as Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, and Energy Management, particularly through curriculum development, industrial training, internships, and research initiatives. This partnership will focus on enhancing awareness and training for professionals in emerging construction technologies and trends. The initiative is aligned with the vision of the School of Architecture & Landscape Design (SoALD) at SMVDU, which holds the 16th NIRF Rank, to expand its footprint in the construction industry with TATA Steel's expertise. The ceremony was coordinated by Ar. Aditya Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, SoALD, and attended by several university and TATA Steel officials. |
