Doda, December 1, 2024: The eight-day NIOS Refresher Training for Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) concluded today at the District Training Site (DTS) Trauma Hospital Khellani, Doda. The program, organized under the guidance of the Mission Director, NHM J&K, and supervised by Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr. Om Kumar, aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of ASHAs for better community service. The training featured both theoretical and practical sessions, followed by an Internal Evaluation that included a Theory and Practical Examination along with a Skill Test. These assessments were supervised by the State ASHA Trainer from Doda and District Resource Persons from Ramban and Kishtwar, in the presence of Dr. Om Kumar. Dr. Om Kumar emphasized the importance of such refresher courses, noting that ASHAs play a pivotal role in community healthcare. He highlighted that equipping them with updated knowledge and skills is essential for improving health outcomes at the grassroots level. The successful completion of this training underscores NHM J&K's commitment to strengthening the healthcare workforce and ensuring quality healthcare delivery across the region
