Bovine Smuggling Bid Foiled, 7 Bovines Rescued

Jammu, Dec 02, 2024 – In a major success under Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor. A police team intercepted a Mahindra Bolero vehicle (JK02AW-8648) coming from Jammu towards Rajouri, rescuing 7 bovines. However, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. The vehicle was seized, and a case (FIR No. 216/2024) has been registered under relevant sections of the PCA Act and BNS.
The public has praised the police's ongoing efforts in combating bovine smuggling in the region. Investigations are continuing.
