| Govt SPMR College of Commerce observes World AIDS Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 3: The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce observed World AIDS Day 2024 by organizing a Rangoli Making Competition under the theme "Take the Right Path". The event, held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Rajinder Singh, highlighted the importance of collective efforts in combating the HIV epidemic.
Principal's Address: Dr. Rajinder Singh emphasized the vital role individuals play in shaping a future free from the AIDS crisis, urging everyone to take meaningful actions.
Awareness Talk: Prof. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Head of the Commerce Department, discussed preventive measures against AIDS and the importance of community support in battling the disease.
The Rangoli competition showcased creative interpretations of the theme and was judged by Prof. Pawan Kumar, Prof. Ashu Manhas, and Dr. Deepshikha Sharma.
First Prize: Ms. Anshu Kapoor (B.Com Sem 1)
Second Prize: Ms. Bhavdeep Kour (B.Com Sem 1)
Third Prize: Niharika Mehra (B.Com Sem 3)
The event saw active participation from faculty, including Dr. Mohd Azam, Prof. Ashraf Nawaz, Dr. Rekha Gupta, Dr. Chetna Gupta, Prof. Sanjeev Verma, Prof. Esha Abrol, and Dr. Neeru Anand.
The event was managed by the Red Ribbon Committee members: Dr. Jagmeet Kaur (Convener), Dr. Deepak Pathania, Dr. Fayza, Dr. Madhu Bala, Prof. Binny, Dr. Roomi Rani, and Mr. Ravi.
