J&K police recovers 40 lost mobile phones

JAMMU, Dec 3: Kathua Police, in a significant public service initiative, recovered 40 lost mobile phones, including an Apple iPhone 11 Pro, with a total value of approximately ?8.16 lakh. The missing phones were handed over to their rightful owners after proper verification during a formal event.
Recovery Effort: The phones were retrieved through the diligent efforts of the IT Section, DPO Kathua, using advanced technical assistance.
Handing Over Ceremony: SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena-IPS, along with Addl. SP Rahul Charak and DySP DAR Subash Chander, handed the phones to their owners.
Locations: The devices were recovered from areas across Kathua, Jammu, Udhampur, and neighboring Punjab.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Kathua Police for their efforts, while the general public appreciated the department's dedication.
Kathua Police has recovered 176 mobile phones to date, with a combined value of around ?20 lakh.
