Sahitya Akademi, GDC Marh host Dogri Literary Forum | | | Early Times Report MARH, Dec 4: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, in collaboration with Government Degree College (GDC) Marh, organized an engaging literary program, Literary Forum, celebrating Dogri language and literature. The event featured four renowned Dogri poets who captivated the audience with their evocative poetry. Mohan Singh, Convener of the Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, inaugurated the event by introducing the audience to various Sahitya Akademi initiatives aimed at promoting Indian languages, including Dogri. He highlighted the importance of programs like Literary Forum in providing a platform for writers to showcase their work and connect with readers. The poets who graced the event with their readings were: Puran Chander Sharma, Lalit Sharma, Daya Ram Daya and Chanchal Sharma Principal Dr. Rakesh Koul extended a warm welcome to the poets and attendees, expressing his commitment to the promotion of Dogri literature and culture. Several prominent Dogri writers, including Sushil Begana, Narinder Singh Chib, and Sanvedhna Sharma, also attended the program, adding to its literary significance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Professor Sheetal Sharma, who appreciated the support of all participants and organizers. Mohan Singh also expressed gratitude to Dr. Koul and the college staff for their cooperation in making the event a success.
