Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 8, 2024: Sadguru Shri Madhuparamhans Ji Maharaj of Sahib Bandgi delivered an inspiring discourse to a gathering of devotees at Rakhbandhu, Jammu, emphasizing the values of true devotion and spiritual integrity. He spoke extensively about the challenges of modern spirituality, asserting that the quest for money and fame has diverted many from the path of true sainthood.
Shri Madhuparamhans Ji criticized the commercialization of religion and devotion, stating, “The lifestyle of many leaders of devotion resembles that of kings rather than saints. They exploit people's faith to establish their own sects for fame and monetary gain.” Citing Kabir Sahib's example, he highlighted that Kabir never sought material luxuries despite having access to them through powerful followers like Raj Bir Singh Baghel. The Sadguru also addressed blind faith and superstitious practices, such as tying threads on trees and following rituals without understanding their true essence. He warned against blindly following sects that misuse the teachings of saints like Kabir Sahib for personal gain, remarking, “Many have manipulated Kabir Sahib's teachings to create their own sects, misguiding people for profit.” Quoting Socrates, Shri Madhuparamhans Ji urged devotees to seek truth and avoid blindly following popular trends. He also reflected on the role of criticism, acknowledging its value in promoting spiritual messages. “Critics have unknowingly become my propagators, spreading my teachings far and wide,” he remarked, encouraging people not to fear criticism but to embrace it as a tool for growth. The Sadguru concluded with a message of selflessness, urging spiritual leaders to focus on the welfare of humanity rather than material gains.
