ANANTNAG, Dec 12: A one-day seminar on ‘Higher Education under NEP: Methodological Issues and Challenges’ was today organized by the Debate & Seminar Committee in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and the Literary Club of Government Degree College (GDC) for Women, Anantnag. The seminar aimed to explore the transformative changes proposed by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the challenges higher education institutions face in its implementation. Prof. (Dr.) Himanshu Prasad Roy from the Centre for Political Science, JNU, delivered the keynote address, providing valuable insights into NEP’s key proposals, including interdisciplinary education, outcome-based learning, and curriculum redesign. He emphasized the need for capacity-building, technology integration, and addressing equity in education. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions, offering students and faculty an opportunity to deepen their understanding of NEP’s impact on higher education. |
