Training program for CPIOs concludes at SKPA Udhampur | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 13: The three-day training program for Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) concluded today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, with a valedictory ceremony aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in governance. The program, which saw the participation of 15 officers, including SPs and Dy. SPs from Jammu and Kashmir Police, was designed to improve their knowledge and skills for the effective implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005. The sessions focused on addressing challenges and sharing best practices in handling RTI applications and disclosures. In his valedictory address, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trainings), praised the officers for their dedication to fostering transparency and empowering citizens through the RTI framework. He emphasized the crucial role of CPIOs in ensuring timely access to information and strengthening public trust in government institutions.
