Utsaah Club organizes stage play on Anti-Ragging with focus on Divyangjan

JAMMU, Dec 15: The Community Service and Social Justice Club of Utsaah- The Club Consortium, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the students of The Law School, organized a stage play on "Anti-Ragging with Special Reference to Protecting Divyangjan" at the University Amphitheatre.
The play aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging, its legal implications, and the importance of ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, particularly for Divyangjan students.
Under the able leadership of Prof. Umesh Rai, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, the University continues to provide platforms for students to address pertinent issues affecting the student community.
Prof. Prakash C. Antahal, Convener, Utsaah, appreciated the students' impactful performance and congratulated all participants for delivering a powerful message encouraging students to reject ragging and promote inclusivity.
The talented team of performers included Ms. Suhani Sharma, Disha Salaria, Harsh Kumar (5th Sem.), Nitasha Rana, Harsh Kumar (3rd Sem.), Kanheiya Jalotra, Mohd. Sohil, Prarthana, Vanshika Dhiman, Shaysta Chauhan, Arundev Singh, Urvashi Rajput, Yug Sharma, Shreeja Walia, Tanvi, Bhagirathi, Mohd. Saabik, and Bhumika. Dr. Nitan Sharma, faculty from The Law School, was the teacher-in-charge of the event.
Dr. Shashi Prabha, Co-Coordinator of the Community Service and Social Justice Club, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and staff, further promoting the ideals of student-driven initiatives. It is noteworthy that the Community Service and Social Justice Club continues to provide an open space for student volunteers to share constructive ideas and contribute meaningfully to the community.
