Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 15: The elections for the J&K Olympic Association were conducted today at the Amar Singh Club, Jammu. The process, overseen by Returning Officer Advocate C.S. Gupta, adhered to the National Sports Code of 2011 and followed directives from the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. Madukant Pathak, Treasurer of the Athletic Federation of India, served as the Observer on behalf of the Indian Olympic Association. The election saw several candidates elected unopposed, including: Dr. Nirmolak Singh (Senior Vice President) Er. Kiran Wattal (Vice President-Kashmir) Vikas Gupta (Vice President) S.B.S Jaggi (Joint Secretary) Rajesh Dutta, Kuljit Singh Jamwal, Vinod Bhatia, Amit Chib, Tarsem Sharma, and Supinder Deep Singh (Executive Members) The election for the positions of President, General Secretary, and Treasurer saw significant participation: President: Dushyant Sharma secured 22 votes, defeating Rajiv Sharma, who received 1 vote. General Secretary: Ajay Vaid emerged victorious with 22 votes, defeating Ajay Sharma, who garnered 1 vote. Treasurer: Yudhvir Singh won with 21 votes, defeating Kuldeep Gupta, who received 1 vote. The newly elected officials, who will serve a four-year term, expressed their commitment to promoting sports in J&K. The team assured their full cooperation with stakeholders to enhance the welfare of athletes and sports infrastructure in the region.
