Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: Cadet Captain Samrat Sudan of SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, has brought laurels to his institution by successfully completing the Overseas Deployment Camp-Autumn Term 2024. The camp, held from 25th September to 25th October, included deployment to Iran, Oman, and Bahrain onboard ICGS VEERA as part of the First Training Squadron. Samrat Sudan was among only 10 cadets selected from across India for this prestigious program, jointly organized by the NCC, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard. The cadets engaged in various naval and sea-based activities, including visits to foreign countries, interaction with Indian and foreign military personnel, arms handling, and exploring diverse multicultural settings. A notable highlight was the cadets' visit to the American Naval Base in Oman. The camp, which began in Porbandar, Gujarat, provided invaluable exposure, helping cadets develop professional skills, broaden their worldview, and foster personal growth. Principal of SPMR College, Dr. Rajinder Singh, congratulated Cadet Captain Samrat Sudan, along with ANO (Navy) Prof. Joginder Kumar and ANO (Infantry) Dr. Madhu Bala, for their contributions. He encouraged other NCC cadets to emulate this dedication, emphasizing the role of discipline in shaping leaders and highlighting the unique edge that NCC cadets gain through such experiences.
