Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu inaugurated the fourth batch of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The event was held at the institute's permanent campus in Jagti and aimed to empower educators with leadership skills, fostering academic excellence and innovation. The program, scheduled from 16th to 20th December 2024, is a unique residential initiative that focuses on developing academic leaders. It brings together 29 participants from institutes across India and is fully funded by the Ministry of Education. The training includes interactive sessions on leadership, communication, skill development, and recent government initiatives, ensuring a practical and holistic learning experience. Highlights of the Inaugural Event: Lamp Lighting Ceremony: The program began with the traditional lamp lighting. Address by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu: He emphasized the importance of leadership in academia and encouraged participants to engage actively, network with peers, and explore IIM Jammu's state-of-the-art facilities. Insights from Program Directors: Dr. Ateeque Shaikh highlighted IIM Jammu's Executive Education initiatives, including cutting-edge programs in machine learning and AI. Dr. Muqbil Burhan spoke about the institute's growth and its position as a hub for academic excellence in the region, also showcasing Jammu as a city of temples. The program includes lectures, workshops, case studies, and networking sessions with experts and faculty. A campus tour followed the inaugural session, showcasing IIM Jammu's vibrant infrastructure. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Niti Shekhar and the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired and united for their leadership journey. |
