Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 16: JKPCC Chief Shri Tariq Hameed Karra today announced the holding of peaceful protest march on Dec. 18th, to Raj Bhawan as part of the nationwide protest on the issue of Adani episode and an alarming Manipur situation besides to highlight the issue of restoration statehood. Speaking on the occasion Tariq Hameed Karra said that the recent indictment of Gautam Adani and his associates by the U.S. Department of Justice has exposed a web of alleged corruption, fraud, and deceit. These allegations reveal a disturbing pattern of bribery, money laundering, and market manipulation that tarnish the reputation of Indian business and finance. This incident raises serious concerns regarding corporate governance and regulatory oversight in India. The erosion of trust among domestic and international investors is alarming. The potential flight of capital threatens to stifle economic growth, job creation, and overall development. Moreover, the government's deliberate stalling of Parliamentary discussions and silence on this matter reflects a concerning evasion of responsibility and accountability.
He further said that Manipur continues to reel under an unprecedented crisis marked by continuous violence, including shootouts, curfews, and widespread lawlessness. Numerous lives have been lost, and citizens face an uncertain future. Despite the severity of the crisis, the BJP-led government, both at the Centre and the state, has utterly failed to address or mitigate the situation. Shockingly, the Prime Minister has yet to visit Manipur, while the utterly inept Chief Minister still clings to power, further highlighting the indifference towards this dire situation.
In response to these pressing issues, besides early restoration of statehood the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee shall organize "Raj Bhavan March" on Wednesday, the December 18, 2024 involving senior leaders, party functionaries, and frontal organizations. The march shall start from Party HQ Shaheedi Chowk at 11.00 a.m. towards Raj Bhawan.
