Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 16: A five-day training course on Investigation of Cyber Crime commenced today at the Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur. Eleven officers from the J&K Police, ranging from Sub-Inspectors to Deputy Superintendents of Police, are participating in the program. The course aims to equip officers with essential knowledge and skills to combat cybercrimes. Key topics include: Cybercrime Overview: Hacking, phishing, identity theft, email bombing, web defacement, fake profiles, and cyberstalking. Networking Fundamentals: Understanding networks, devices, and services such as e-banking and e-commerce. Cybercrime Detection: Addressing malicious codes, financial frauds, and emerging trends in cybercrime. Expert faculty from academia and the Academy are delivering lectures and practical insights to enhance the participants' investigative capabilities. The course was inaugurated by Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, and Dy. Director (Indoor), who emphasized the critical role of modern tools and first responders in effectively handling cybercrime cases. The program is coordinated by Inspector Rohit Gupta, with assistance from HC Randeep Singh. This initiative underscores the commitment of J&K Police to stay ahead in tackling cyber threats and safeguarding the digital ecosystem. |
