Police seizes drugs, one arrested in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 16: In a significant drug bust, the Police team from Police Station Rajouri arrested a man and recovered a large quantity of illegal drugs during routine patrolling near Children's Park, Rajouri. The police team noticed two individuals acting suspiciously, and upon seeing the police, one attempted to flee. The police quickly apprehended the individual carrying a luggage bag. During the search, 689 strips of Tapentadol tablets (6890 tablets), 36 strips of Pregabalin tablets (540 tablets), and 6 strips of Tramadol tablets (60 tablets) were recovered from the bag. The arrested individual was identified as Mohd Yousuf, son of Mohd Sadiq, a resident of Ward No. 04, Rajouri. The second suspect, who managed to escape during the pursuit, was later identified. A case (FIR No. 543/2024) has been registered under Sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rajouri. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to trace the second suspect involved in the drug trafficking operation. Authorities have praised the police for their swift action in curbing the illegal drug trade in the region.
