Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), conducted a tour of Jammu North to evaluate the cleanliness and condition of municipal assets. During the visit, the Commissioner toured the Fish Market at Kanji House, where he was informed that the market would be relocated to Narwal Mandi, with new shops already allotted to the shopkeepers. While inspecting municipal assets allocated to the School Education Department and University of Jammu, Dr. Yadav instructed authorities to formally request these departments to vacate the premises for repair and renovation. He emphasized that this would ensure optimal use of the properties. Addressing concerns from local shopkeepers, the Commissioner assured that the shops would be renovated for their convenience. The tour was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner North JMC, Sanjay Badyal, Chief Revenue Officer Sunil Gupta, Health Officer Dr. Vinod Sharma, Executive Engineers, and other senior JMC officials. |
