JAMMU, Dec 21: The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with IQAC, successfully conducted a one-week workshop on "Basics of Computer Skills" at Govt. Degree College Billawar from December 2 to December 7, 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance the administrative and operational effectiveness of the college staff by equipping them with essential computer skills.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Alka Sharma, who emphasized the importance of computer literacy in today's technological era. The sessions covered topics such as basic computer knowledge, PC hardware and software, word processing, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Google Forms.
Resource persons included Prof. Parveen Sharma, Prof. Barun Kumar Bhatti, Dr. Sunil Singh, and Prof. Shablika. The workshop concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where Principal Dr. Sharma awarded certificates to the participants and congratulated them for their active involvement.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from both teaching and non-teaching staff, marking it as a successful capacity-building initiative. |
