Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 21: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized a Punjabi Kavi Durbar dedicated to Char Sahizadas (Sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji) today in connection with Martyrdom of Sahibzadas at Kartar Public School (KPS), Kathua under the guidance of Smt. Harvinder Kour JKAS, Secretary, JKAACL. S. Charanjit Singh Bhola, SGPC, Kathua was the chief guest whereas S. Harpinder Singh was the guest of honour on this occasion. S. Nirmaljeet Singh Chairman, KPS, Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi of JKAACL, and Jang S. Verman were present in the programme. The programme was attended by the staff and the students of higher classes. The programme started with the welcome address by Smt. Harpreet Kour, Principal, KPS. The poets presented their poems on the themes of martyrdom of four sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji viz. Ajit Singh (1687-1705); Jujhar Singh (1689-1705); Zorawar Singh (1696-1705); and Fateh Singh (1699-1705). The poets who recited their poetry included S. Hazura Singh, Master Gurnam Singh, Saroj Bala, Master Jagdish Singh (Kathua); Dr. Lekh Raj (Sujanpur); and Jang S. Verman (Jammu). The budding student poet of the school also presented their poems dedicated to the martyrs.
