The case, registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal, highlighted the dedication of law enforcement in safeguarding the community. The incident came to light on December 18, when the brother of the 16-year-old girl from Nai Basti Supwal lodged a written complaint stating that his sister had gone missing despite extensive efforts by the family to locate her. Acting promptly, the police registered a case (FIR No. 324/2024 under Section 137(2) BNS) at PS Samba and initiated a thorough search operation. A team led by the Incharge Police Post Supwal, after relentless efforts, successfully traced the minor. Following standard procedures, the girl was presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Samba, and subsequently handed over to her family after completing all necessary legal formalities.
