POONCH, Dec 23: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today finalized vision document 2047 for the development of Poonch here at a meeting held in the DC Office Complex. The comprehensive discussion involved key departmental goals aimed at transforming the district into a model of progress and sustainability.
The meeting focused on several critical developmental issues, emphasizing the need for improved road connectivity to every village and region within the district. The DC highlighted the importance of transforming all government buildings into green structures and enhancing horticultural production, particularly grapes.
Significant attention was given to boosting the tourism sector in Poonch, with plans to promote the Seven Lakes as a major tourist attraction.
The DC also called for the establishment of forest-based industries and the implementation of pipeline gas connectivity for every household. Key initiatives such as ensuring 24/7 water connections, introducing water testing facilities, and the deployment of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems were also discussed.
This visionary meeting marks a crucial step towards realizing the full potential of Poonch, setting the stage for a prosperous future by 2047.
