| State Surveillance Team reviews Implementation of IDS Program in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 24: A one-day training-cum-review meeting under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP)-Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) for District Surveillance Units (DSUs) of Jammu Division was organized here today by the State Surveillance Unit, IDSP Jammu Division. Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) is being implemented with the support of National Health Mission J&K. The event was held at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar. The meeting was chaired by Director of Health Services Jammu Dr. Rakesh Magotra. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Harjeet Rai, who acknowledged the significant contribution of District Surveillance Units in maintaining public health safety. He remarked that the future of disease prevention depends on the meticulous efforts ‘we make today in monitoring and reporting as integrated health information is the backbone of public health planning.’ Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar appreciated the State Surveillance Unit for organizing the meeting and emphasized the critical role of the IDSP. He encouraged the participants to ensure proactive and collaborative efforts to improve disease surveillance and response mechanisms. |
