Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 25: Yashodhan Verma, a student from Spring Dales English School, Kathua, was recognized as one of the top 10 finalists at the Toycathon 2024 Grand Finale Exhibition held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The prestigious award was presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in a ceremony celebrating creativity and innovation. Yashodhan's project, an interactive educational game featuring an illuminated map of India, was highly praised. The game helps children learn the capitals of states through an engaging LED-light system that activates upon selecting the correct answer, blending education with technology. The Toycathon 2024, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir State Council of Educational Research & Training (JKSCERT), saw participation from over 112,000 students across the region. Yashodhan's project stood out for its creativity and practical value, earning him a spot among the top 10 finalists. The Lieutenant Governor lauded Yashodhan and the other finalists for their innovation, while Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of JKSCERT, commended the project as a remarkable blend of creativity and educational purpose. With 90 finalists from across J&K, Yashodhan's achievement has brought immense pride to his school and the Kathua district. His project serves as an inspiration to young minds to explore innovative solutions to everyday challenges. The event concluded with applause for all finalists, highlighting the importance of nurturing creativity and innovation among students in Jammu and Kashmir. Prof. R. K.
