Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 25: The Dogra Brahman Pritinidhi Sabha (DBPS) today paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya on his birth anniversary. The event, held in Jammu, was a reminder of his immense contributions to the nation, particularly his leadership as Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University from 1919 to 1938. DBPS President Ved Parkash Sharma emphasized the lasting impact of Malaviya's services, highlighting his role in shaping education and social reforms. Senior BJP leader and President of Tawi Andolan, Chander Mohan Sharma, called for emulating Malaviya's values of nationalism, simplicity, and social reform. Ex-DC B.S. Jamwal, DBPS Chairman P.C. Sharma, NMC President Subash Shastri, and representatives from various social and religious organizations also shared their tributes. They highlighted Malaviya's significant role as one of the founders of Bharat Scouts and Guides and his contributions as the founder of The Leader, an influential English newspaper, and as chairman of Hindustan Times.
