NSS Camp at MCM College, Chandigarh | | | Agencies CHANDIGARH, Dec 26: The 7-Day NSS Camp at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, began with a rejuvenating yoga session followed by a movie screening. A significant session on the 'Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse' was conducted by Mr. Rahul Singla and Ms. Renu from the NGO 'Bachpan- Save the Innocence,' with enthusiastic participation from NSS units of various colleges. Volunteers then carried out a field survey on the challenges faced by working women, focusing on work-life balance, gender discrimination, and workplace support, which will help shape future initiatives for empowering women. Day 3: The camp continued with a session on Disaster Management led by Mr. Arpit Kumar Dubey, where volunteers learned life-saving techniques, including CPR. Following this, Chandigarh Traffic Police hosted an informative session on traffic rules and road signs. Dr. Anubhuti Sharma (Assistant Professor, Psychology) and Dr. Apara Sharma (Assistant Professor, English) delivered engaging talks on technology addiction and the basics of communication. The day concluded with a talent hunt, showcasing students' creativity in videography, artwork, singing, and dancing.
