Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 26: An urgent meeting of prominent Kashmiri Pandit community social activists of camps and non camps was held today at Muthi Camp Jammu under the guidance of Senior leader of the community leader Shri M.K. Yogi which was attended by large number of socio- activists of the community to discuss and deliberate up on the most crucial problems being faced by the community in exile on many fronts like filling of un-necessarily NAFSA form that has created great hue and cry among the community.
In a Statement issued today by Senior KP leader M.K. Yogi, all the participants present in the meeting have raised concern for forcing the community to file this unnecessary form as they said that Relief Commissioner Migrant has all the details & data of the migrants and relief holders and so what is the necessity to put the community on great discomfort because they are still un settled and living in exile temporarily without permanent settlement.
M.K. Yogi in his speech has appealed Government of Jammu and Kashmir not to harass the community on the name of NAFSA form which is meaningless till this community is settled permanently in their native places in Kashmir valley. Bharat Kachroo, Ravinder Koul, Ashok Kumar Dhar, Sunil Pandita, Kuleep Kashmiri, Rakesh Kumar Suri, Mohal Lal Raina & others while speaking on the occasion have appealed UT administration and Relief Commissioner to exempt the Kashmiri Pandit community from filling the said form till they are permanently rehabilitated back in Kashmir valley with dignity and honour and they said that they are satisfied with the temporary Ration cards till their permanent rehabilitation.
In the end VInod Pandita another prominent social activist of the community highlighted the genuine problems of the community like creation and advertisement of new ten thousand posts for educated KP youth in exile, enhancement of monthly relief assistance from Rs. 13000/ to 25000/ per month, doling out of balance compensation to the damaged and gutted property of Kashmiri Pandits, Compensation to over aged educated youth, implementation of immovable Migrant property act in letter and spirit and passage of temples and shrines bill and he also extended vote of thanks to the participants.
