Samba, Dec 26: Samba Police has organized an anti-drug awareness programmes, aiming to sensitize the students about the ill effects of drug abuse, at Samba Fort & GHSS Mansar which was attended by large number of students, lecturers, teachers and members of the Civil Society Samba. The programme at Samba Fort organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) was presided over SHO PS Samba in which students from Govt. Middle School Arazi Samba, Govt.High School Diani and Govt. Middle School Chack Manga Rakwal had participated. The first, second and third best performers were presented cash rewards of rupees 10000, 6000 and 4000 respectively, whereas eight other participating students were also felicitated with consolation cash prizes of rupees 2000 each. In other programmes at Govt. Higher Secondary School Mansar & Govt. Girls Primary School Parthari in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, J&K Police has donated 70 school kits comprising of school bags and stationary items to the students under CAP. The efforts of J&K Police in promoting awareness about the negative impact of drug abuse were highly appreciated by the school management and attendees. |
