Agencies CHANDIGARH, Jan 16: Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with the Centre for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (CSDE), Panjab University, inaugurated a 30-hour course on 'GST Return Filing'. The program, coordinated by the Skill Development Cell and the Postgraduate Department of Commerce, is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST), focusing on registration and return filing. Spanning seven days, the course aims to prepare individuals for taxation-related careers and entrepreneurial ventures. Participants include students from tricity colleges and non-teaching staff from MCM, emphasizing capacity building and professional development. The inaugural sessions were conducted by: CA Ankur Sharma: Provided an overview of India's taxation system and introduced GST concepts with practical examples. CA Jatin Rathour: Explained the basic terminologies of the GST Act, 2017, highlighting its features and benefits. Both sessions were highly interactive, with participants engaging actively in discussions. Officiating Principal, Suman Mahajan, extended her gratitude to Prof. Suveera Gill, Director of CSDE, for her support. She applauded the organizing team for their efforts and encouraged participants to make the most of the learning opportunities presented by the course. |
