| Bovine smuggling attempt foiled | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 16: In a significant crackdown under Operation Kamdhenu, the Jammu Police successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the Manwal area of Nagrota Sub-Division. Acting on specific inputs, the Police team from Manwal intercepted a Mahindra vehicle (JK14H/8740) transporting six bovines illegally towards Udhampur.
The vehicle was seized at Nagola, but the driver managed to escape under the cover of darkness. All six bovines were safely rescued.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 09/2025 U/S 223/BNS and 11 PCA Act at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. Investigations are ongoing.
The public has lauded the police for their relentless efforts in curbing bovine smuggling in the region. |
