Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 18: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and the Social Welfare Department, J&K Government, presented its 477th Dogri Musical Play titled "Nasha Khori" at Shastri Memorial Hr. Sec. School, Patoli, Jammu. The event was part of the ongoing "Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan" and aimed to promote the traditional culture of J&K while raising awareness about substance abuse. The musical play, written and directed by renowned writer Dr. M.L. Dogra, captivated the audience with songs such as "Nasha Na Karna - Man Lo Kehna" and "Mera Karma Tu Mera Dharma Tu." The music for the play was composed by Raju Bajgal, a distinguished music teacher. The program began with a pledge administered by Chahat Chadha to over 250 students and teachers, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free life. Certificates from the Ministry of Social Justice were presented to the school's Principal, Hari Krishan, who inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honor included Ms. Vandhana Kumari and Ms. Neha Sharma, esteemed staff members of the host school. In his address, Mr. Hari Krishan lauded the efforts of BLSKS in organizing impactful awareness programs, stating, "The Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan aims to educate and inspire people to overcome substance abuse through awareness and cultural initiatives. Such programs are essential for fostering a healthier and more conscious society." Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of BLSKS, emphasized the importance of collective efforts to combat substance abuse. He elaborated on the physical and mental challenges of withdrawal and highlighted the role of cleanliness in maintaining overall health. Dr. Dogra expressed gratitude to the audience for their participation and commitment to the cause. Mr. K.K. Joshi, Vice Chairman of BLSKS, spoke about the organization's dedication to preserving Dogra culture, noting that over 200 cultural programs are conducted annually. The program featured enthralling performances by singers, musicians, and actors, including Zulekha Bano, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Kuldeep Raj, and others. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Master Deepak Kumar, marking the successful execution of the program.
