Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 19: The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, organized two specialized interaction sessions as part of the Border Area Youth Exchange Programme under the Mera Yuva Bharat initiative. Renowned cardiologist Dr. Sushil Sharma, Head of Cardiology at GMC Jammu, addressed participants on cardiovascular health, focusing on modifiable risk factors like smoking, hypertension, and diabetes. He also highlighted the dangers of drug addiction and its impact on heart health, encouraging youth to raise awareness in their communities. Dr. Nitan Sharma, faculty at The Law School, University of Jammu, spoke on "Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat," inspiring participants to uphold constitutional duties and foster national unity. Welcoming the speakers, Nitin Hangloo, District Youth Officer, NYKS Jammu, expressed gratitude for their insights. Participants from five states and UTs, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan, are exploring border areas and learning about the lives of residents during their five-day visit to Jammu. This initiative aims to enhance cultural understanding and promote youth engagement in national integration. |
