Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 19: A 5-day Civil Defence basic training program, organized by the Jammu Civil Defence, concluded today at the Government Higher Secondary School, Muthi. The program, which began on January 14, 2025, was conducted under the supervision of Dy. SP Anita Pawar, Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Jammu. A total of 155 students, both male and female, participated in the training, gaining valuable knowledge in first aid, fire fighting techniques, snake bite management, choking prevention, and other life-saving skills. Civil Defence experts led the sessions, focusing on preventive measures during natural and man-made disasters. The event included a demonstration on first aid and fire fighting, as well as improvised emergency rescue techniques for road accidents, conducted by the Civil Defence team. Smt. Kiran Sharma, Principal of the school, commended the program for its valuable contribution to student safety and preparedness. Smt. Asia Banoo, Vice-Principal, Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Sh. Romesh, Post Warden CD Jammu, and Sub-Inspector Ram Dayal Saini, In-charge CD Trainings, were also present at the event, alongside the school staff. |
