| Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha registers self for organ donation | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha took a significant step towards promoting organ donation by pledging for organ donation and registering himself on the Ayushman Bharat Organ Donation Registry (notto.abdm.gov.in) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
The pledge certificate was presented to the Lieutenant Governor at Raj Bhawan by representatives of the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO), including Dr. Elias Sharma (Nodal Officer), Dr. Sanjeev Puri (Joint Director), and Sh. Irfan Ahmed Lone (Transplant Coordinator).
Sandeep Jain, President, and Monika Jain, General Secretary of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, J&K, were also present during the occasion.
The Lieutenant Governor's commitment follows his expression of willingness to donate organs at a programme organized by the Bharatiya Jain Sansthan on January 19. His action underscores the importance of organ donation in saving lives and encourages others to come forward and contribute to this noble cause. |
