Modi Govt empowers women, making them equal partners in Nation's Development: Kavinder
1/22/2025 10:05:49 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 22: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarkable vision for women empowerment, highlighting the transformative impact of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, which completes its 10th anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta emphasized that under the leadership of PM Modi, India has seen a radical shift in its approach to gender equality. He stated, "The Modi government has not only empowered women through policies but has ensured that they are given a platform to thrive, making them equal partners in the nation's development."
Since its launch in 2015, BBBP has been a key driver in changing societal perceptions and ensuring that girls have access to the education and opportunities they deserve. "This initiative has broken down deep-rooted gender biases and provided girls across the nation with the support they need to build their futures," he remarked.
Highlighting the significant improvements in districts with historically low Child Sex Ratios (CSR), Kavinder noted that BBBP has succeeded in creating an environment where the girl child is no longer seen as a burden but as a symbol of hope and potential. "The Modi government's policies have not only empowered women but also instilled a sense of pride and equality within the society," he said.
In addition to BBBP, Kavinder pointed out the success of numerous other initiatives like the Mudra Yojana, Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, which have further strengthened women's financial independence and provided them with the means to chart their own course.
"Today, daughters are becoming leaders, entrepreneurs, and achievers. With initiatives that cater to education, health, and economic independence, the government has laid the foundation for a more inclusive and progressive India," he added.
He also praised the active participation of citizens and community organizations in promoting the goals of BBBP, stressing that the movement has truly gained momentum at the grassroots level. "It is the collective efforts of the people that have made this initiative a success," he stated, urging all Indians to continue protecting the rights of women and ensuring their empowerment.
"On this historic occasion, I reaffirm the BJP's commitment to ensuring that every woman and girl in India has the opportunity to live her dreams without fear of discrimination or inequality," he added.
