Jammu, Jan 25: In celebration of the 15th National Voters Day, Natrang staged an impactful Hindi play titled ‘Loktantra Ka Asli Mantra’ at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu. Written by renowned playwright Balwant Thakur and directed by Neeraj Kant, the play aimed to educate and inspire the masses about the power of voting in strengthening democracy. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha, who was the chief guest. Also present were prominent officials including B R Sharma, Retd. IAS and State Election Commissioner; Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Financial Commissioner; Romesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Planning; and Sachin Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. The play conveyed a strong message about the significance of voting as a peaceful and powerful tool to bring change in the country. Through a thought-provoking narrative, the play highlighted the frustrations of disillusioned youth who, though aware of the corrupt system, are passive in initiating change. It emphasized that voting is the ultimate key to transforming the nation, encouraging all sections of society to fulfill their democratic duty. The performance featured a talented cast including Neeraj Kant, Subash Jamwal, Pawan Verma, Mohd. Yaseen, Aadesh Dhar, Kananpreet Kaur, Mehak Chib, and others who captivated the audience with their compelling portrayal of societal attitudes towards voting. Through this theatrical venture, Natrang not only celebrated National Voters Day but also effectively promoted civic responsibility, urging citizens to use their vote to strengthen India’s democracy. |
