| GDC Majalta celebrates R-Day with 'Jashni Jamhooriya' event | | | Early Times Report
MAJALTA, Jan 25: Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta organized a vibrant Republic Day celebration, 'Jashni Jamhooriya,' with enthusiastic participation from students of all departments. The event was organized by the Departments of Urdu and Gandhian Studies under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shalini Sharma, Principal of GDC Majalta. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Shahnawaz Qadri, HOD of Urdu, followed by a special performance where students sang the patriotic anthem "Saarey Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara." Students also recited inspiring patriotic poems and speeches, showcasing their love for the nation. Prof. Shalini Sharma, Principal of GDC Majalta, was the chief guest of the occasion. She spoke on the significance of such programs in fostering national pride and appreciated the students for their efforts in making the event successful. The event was graced by the presence of faculty members, including Dr. Chander Mohan, Prof. Kamal Jeet, Prof. Anuradha Chaudhry, Dr. Peer Aamir, and Dr. Irshad, among others.
