| GCW Bhagwati Nagar hosts Essay Writing and Poster-Making Competition | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 25: In a patriotic and creative initiative, the Department of Political Science at Government College for Women (GCW), Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, organized an Essay Writing and Poster-Making Competition as part of the 76th Republic Day celebrations.
The event began with an address by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, who emphasized the importance of Republic Day and urged students to contribute toward a progressive and inclusive India.
The essay competition, themed "India @76: Celebrating Diversity and Progress," saw participants presenting reflective essays on India's cultural heritage, constitutional values, and youth contributions. The poster-making competition, themed "India of My Dreams," encouraged students to showcase their creative visions for the nation's future.
Salony Goria excelled in both categories, securing first place in essay writing and poster-making. Arpita Jamwal and Anjali won second and third places in the essay competition, while Shallu and Meenakshi Kumari claimed second and third positions in poster-making.
The event concluded with Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol inspiring students to uphold the ideals of the Indian Constitution, leaving participants motivated to contribute to the nation's development. |
