Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School celebrates 76th Republic Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 25: Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh, Jammu, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The school campus was beautifully adorned with tricolors, buntings, and patriotic decorations, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The theme for the celebration was "SWARNIM BHARAT- VIRASAT AUR VIKAS." The chief guest, Brigadier Dr. Vijay Sagar, graced the occasion, accompanied by the Management Committee members, teachers, and students. The event was compered by Class 11 students, starting with a welcome speech by Principal Prof. Annapurna Kaul in honor of the distinguished guests. Dr. S. K. Koul, the President of Vishwa Bharati Women Welfare Institute, also addressed the gathering, tracing the journey of Vishwa Bharati from Rainawari Kashmir to Jammu and other parts of India. The celebration featured a vibrant cultural program showcasing India's rich heritage. Students presented patriotic songs, dances, and skits, including the popular performances "Teri Mitti Mei Mil Jawan," "Ae Mere Watan Aabaad Rahe," and a Republic Day special Bhangra. Students also delivered moving speeches about India's journey as a Republic and the contributions of the patriots who made it possible. Brigadier Dr. Vijay Sagar's address emphasized the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and the responsibility of each citizen to contribute to the nation's progress. Mr. Verender Dembi, Member of the Vishwa Bharati Management Committee, also spoke on the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to strive for excellence in their contributions to the nation.
