Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Jan 25: The Cultural Committee of Government Degree College Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sciences, celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event, held within the college premises, commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Principal Dr. Vandana Verma and staff members, setting a solemn tone for the occasion. The celebration included a rendition of Saraswati Vandana, followed by a series of patriotic performances. Students of the college enthralled the audience with a recitation of the National Song, a vibrant group dance, and soul-stirring patriotic songs, all performed with immense enthusiasm and zeal. The event proceedings were carried out by Dr. Radhika Rasyal, Lecturer in History, along with students Riya Changotra and Mehak from Semester VI. Principal Dr. Vandana Verma highlighted the significance of Republic Day, emphasizing the core values of justice, liberty, and equality enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The program was coordinated with full support from the senior faculty members, including Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD, Commerce), Dr. Anoop Bhagat (HOD, Sociology), and Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD, Education). The event was meticulously organized by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Co-Convener, Cultural Committee and HOD, Environmental Sciences), Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO and HOD, English), and co-coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD, Dogri), Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD, Geography), Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, and Dr. Radhika Rasyal.
