Desh Bhagat University hoists National Flag on Campus and paid tribute to freedom fighters

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Jan 27: Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh proudly hoisted the national flag on the university campus to mark the celebration of 76th Republic Day. In a ceremony attended by faculty members, students, and staff, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Abhijit H. Joshi unfurled the tricolor and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of national unity and pride. The event also included a patriotic song performance by students and a speech by the Vice-Chancellor highlighting the university's achievements and commitments to nation-building.
During the 76th Republic Day celebration Vice Chancellor, Mr Surinder Pal Kapoor, Registrar, Dr Pravin Kumar, Controller of Examinations along with all the students and staff paid tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh and Late S. Lal Singh, Freedom Fighter. Fourteen staff members which include Mr Kamaldeep Singh, Assistant Registrar (CAS), Mr Amritpal Singh, Sr. Cooridnator (DBUCOE), Mr Baljinder Singh, Head Warden, 5 Security persons, Head Cook and Peon were given Appreciation Certificates for their best performance on duty.
