Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 1: The Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, in collaboration with the SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad, successfully conducted a three-day Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) course for officers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police from January 30 to February 1, 2025. The course aimed to equip participants with advanced intelligence-gathering techniques using publicly available data. The valedictory function was graced by Shri Rajesh Bali, IPS, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the crucial role of OSINT in modern intelligence, law enforcement, and cybersecurity. He highlighted how the effective analysis of open-source data can provide valuable insights for crime prevention, national security, and corporate risk assessment. The course was led by expert faculty from SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad, who conducted sessions on OSINT tools, data analysis, social media intelligence, and ethical considerations. Participants engaged in hands-on training and case studies, significantly enhancing their investigative skills. During the valedictory session, Shri Rajesh Bali, IPS, commended the initiative and encouraged participants to apply OSINT methodologies in their respective roles. The successful participants were awarded certificates, marking the conclusion of a highly insightful and impactful training program. The course was coordinated by Shri Rakesh Samyal, CPO, and assisted by Inspector Rohit Gupta, both faculty members at SKPA, Udhampur. |
