Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 3: Central Bureau Investigation Srinagar registered a case against Pankaj Peter Shah, the then Commandant, 115 Bn, CRPF, Srinagar, Waheed-Ud-Din Mir, Ms. Rehana Farooq, Abdul Majeed Mir and Tehseen Nabi Bhat for awarding the contracts of supply of goods for the CRPF in lieu of undue pecuniary advantage. According to the FIR that the Complaint dated 15.01.2025 submitted by Shri Ashok Kalra, Addl. Supdt. Of Police, CBI, ACB, Srinagar to DIG, CBI, ACB Srinagar reveals that between 2018 and 2021, Pankaj Peter Shah (A-1), who was serving as the Commandant of 115 Bn CRPF, Srinagar, is accused of being involved in corrupt practices whereby he conspired with suppliers Waheed-Ud-Din Mir Proprietor of M/s Peace Enterprises, Srinagar(A-2), Ms. Rehana Farooq, Proprietor of M/s Sanik Traders, Srinagar (A-3), Abdul Majeed Mir, Proprietor of M/s Zaffar Motors, Srinagar (A-4), and Tehseen Nabi Bhat, Proprietor of M/s Grand Musa, Budgam(A-5) to award them contracts of supply of goods for the CRPF in lieu of undue pecuniary advantage. Pankaj Peter Shah(A-1), by way of abusing his official position being a public servant has allegedly awarded the contracts of supply of various types of goods more fully detailed in the above referred original complaint and the same is attached herewith, being part and parcel of this FIR. The aforesaid acts prima facie reveal commission of cognizable offence by accused A-1 to A-5 and other unknown public servants & other unknown private persons u/s 5(1 )(d) r/w 5(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006(Jammu and Kashmir) and Section 7 & 8 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended in 2018 as amended by J&K Reorganization Act, 2019 and Section 120-B of Ranbir Penal Code corresponding to Section 120-B of Indian Penal Code. —JNF |
